eBioTools
Download
eBioTools 3 is available in two different variants, one for Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) and one for Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard):
- Download eBioTools 3.0 for Leopard (84 MiB)
- Download eBioTools 3.0 for Tiger (92 MiB)
Both downloads are now Universal binaries, meaning that they work at full speed on both PPC and Intel Macs!
Updated version
If you recently installed eBioTools 3 on Mac OS X 10.5 and got one of the error messages below, it was probably caused by an error that has since been corrected. We have updated the Leopard package, so you can fix the problem by redownloading it from the link above.

About eBioTools
eBioTools is a compilation of bioinformatics software that has been packaged for easy installation on Mac OS X. It covers many areas, from simple sequence analysis to RNA folding and sequence assembly.
The included programs can be run from the command line in the Terminal program. If you are interested in something that is more easy to use, please take a look at our program eBioX, which works as a graphical interface for eBioTools.

Requirements
To use this release of eBioTools, you need to have:
- An Intel or PPC Mac
- Mac OS X version 10.4 (Tiger) or 10.5 (Leopard)
- The X11 window system (for full functionality)
X11 is included by default in Leopard. Users of Tiger can install X11 from the Optional Installs package on the Mac OS X installation disc.
